Shabnam Mausi on screen

After Bhawari Devi, Shabnam Mausi's life will be showcased on celluloid.

Yogesh Bharadwaj, a former J P Dutta assistant will direct the film based on the life of Shabnam Mausi. Ashutosh Rana was apparently the right choice for the role of Shabnam Mausi.

Shabnam Mausi made history in Madhya Pradesh last year when she got elected to the state legislative assembly. It won't be that difficult for people to accept him in that role as the audience has already seen him as a woman in Tanuja Chandra’s Sangharsh.
