Aamir Khan, who was on a MTV roadshow was offloaded three times from the aircraft because of his surname -- Khan. An insider said that the incident took place "because passengers on board took objection to his surname. Aamir was also interrogated by Federal Bureau of Investigation for over two hours.

It may be recalled that filmstar Sunil Shetty was also allegedly roughed by some American youth after being mistaken for an Afghan. Although, Shetty later denied that that there was any violence involved.

The incident occurred a couple of days after the World Trade Centre bombing on September 11. He was rescued by a local police officer. Shetty was sporting a beard for his role as a bouncer in Mahesh Manjrekar's film Kaante.

Bhandarkar for Shringar's next

Madhur Bhandarkar is the blue-eyed boy of the industry. It is rumoured that he may be the first director Shringar films may hire to direct their first film.

Shringar distributed Chandni Bar, which has been appreciated by the media as well as the masses. When contacted, Shyam Shroff of Shringar Films said,"He is really a talented, if has a good script we will definitely do it."

Madhur Bhandarkar said, "I was asked if I had some good stories. At present I am only listening to scripts, once I have finalised my script I will definitely tell them."

Kareena's and the terror T

Poor Bebo's down with the typhoid. And the gal's been advised complete bed rest. Kareena had to cancel 12 days shooting and the dubbing of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham has also been postponed.

With momma Babita monitoring her every move, and a ban on all telephonic conversations Kareena is pretty bored.

Sunny and Amrish -- one hell of a ride

Sunny Deol and Amrish Puri had brush with death on the sets of sets of Jaal, that is being shot on location in Manali.

Sunny, on a motorbike for the shot, with Puri riding pillion, were thrown into the air when the bike flipped. Fortunately, Sunny managed to maneuver the bike in such a way that he took the fall on his arm while Amrish managed to escape with a nasty scrape on the scalp.

Puri required stitches while Deol's arm had to be put in a cast right away.
