Bhagnani's beautiful dreams
Vashu Bhagnani is hoping to sell beautiful dreams with his new romantic film -- Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein. At these troubled times the filmmaker said that audiences needed to see something that celebrated life. Directed by Gautam Menon, the film talks about a brash boy who turns over a new leaf after falling in love. Bagnani said that the film talked about love and hate, but also showed the goodness of the world. The songs, which are touted to be the highpoints of the film, have the newcomers Diya Mirza and Madhavan doing their dance routines atop trains, hills, in college campuses, shopping malls and discos.
Deham surprises Govind Nihalani's Deham which is set in the Bombay of 2022 is certainly worth a dekko. Those who have had the privilege of watching the film say that unlike Govind's earlier films that had shaken and stirred them, this one actually surprised them. Kitu Gidwani has also come in for high praise for her excellent performance.
Sunny's second coming
After Gadar, Sunny's hoping his next few films will send the cash registers ringing. Maa Tujhe Salaam, which is allegedly a film based on the Kargil war, is already hot in distribution circles. Insiders say that the film with its hard-hitting dialogues it sure looks like it is another Gadar in the making. Aditya Panscholi arrested Actor Aditya Panscholi was arrested on charges of allegedly assaulting the chairman of his building society. He was later released the same evening. Panscholi was charged under section 325 of the Indian penal code for causing grievous injuries to the chairman of Sunita Apartments at Bandra in Bombay.
