No Happy Diwali for Aamir
A few weeks ago, the grapevine was abuzz with the news that Aamir Khan had agreed to do the ABC produced Happy Diwali with Rani Mukherjee. But Aamir isn’t pleased with the film's subject and is looking something stronger for his next release after Lagaan and Dil Chahta Hai.
Moksh goes to Cairo
Rookie director Ashok Mehta is hoping to screen the Arjun Rampal-Manisha Koirala starrer Moksh at the Cairo Film Festival. Moksh, a psychological thriller, tells of how money, the root of evil, creates havoc in a common man's life. The film is due for release later this month.
Shadab wants to act Amjad Khan's son Shahab Khan may have not succeeded as an actor. But he's found an alternative career in writing. After Sandhya, which will be directed by Sangeeth Sivan for Jackie Shroff, Shahdab has offers from four producers. "I have four offers and I will take up two of them. I want to continue acting, which is my first love" he said. Shahdab, who wrote Sandhya, didn't find a role for himself in the film. "When I started writing I wanted to play the main lead in it. Now, I don't," he says. Bharati Dubey
Ashok Mehta compromises Even Ashok Mehta had to compromise. The producer-director didn't want to compromise on the subjectof his upcoming film Moksh. He didn't want to give in to the demands of the producer and this was why he produced the film himself. We hear, now, that a song has been added to the film as the music was very weak. Guess who's singing that song? Sukhvinder Singh! Bharati Dubey
