Shah Rukh Khan has fractured two of his fingers while shooting an action sequence in Jaisalmer, for Boney Kapoor's forthcoming film.

A train sequence, had the actor completely absorbed. He failed to realise what had happened when a window shutter slammed down on his hand.

Shah Rukh feared that he had lost his fingers, thankfully that wasn't the case. The injury is a mild fracture and the star now has his fingers firmly plastered.

Vinod Khanna sues La Dixit

There was lot of excitement when Vinod Khanna was roped in by Doordarshan Television Network to host a reality show called Swayamvar, to be produced by Khanna's company.

Soon after Sony Entertainment Television launched a similar programme, called Shubh Vivaah, with Madhuri Dixit playing matchmaker.

But before Mads could play host, the show ran into troubled water.

We hear that Vinod Khanna has sued Sony TV for copying his programme and that matter have reached the ears of the court.

While Sony TV awaits the verdict, shooting carries on in full swing.

Mahesh Bhatt and book readings

Director Mahesh Bhatt read excerpts from his book UG Krishnamurty -- A Life last week in Bombay.

The book is a biography of the 30 days spent with UG in 1995. It is a recollection of 30 very important days spent with philosopher and guide Kirishnamurty whose works have inspired Bhatt through the years.

Excerpts from the book were also read out by director Tanuja Chandra and daughter Pooja Bhatt.

The book is currently number 2 on the associated press releases' bestsellers list in the non-fiction category.

Lisa and Rahul for Deepa’s next

Deepa Mehta has begun working on her next film Bollywood/Hollywood which stars Lisa Ray and Rahul Khanna.

Shooting is expected to commence shortly in Toronto, Canada.

Khanna plays a successful entrepreneur and Ray his 'love interest'. Moushumi Chatterjee has alo been roped in to play Khanna's mother. The cast also includes Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Ranjit Choudhary.
