Will Abhay see the light of day in Delhi, UP?

Kamal Haasan's latest offering Abhay has not yet had a release in north India, which has left many of his ardent fans fuming. Abhay, and with its Tamil version Adhavallan, was released on November 16 in most parts of India but not in Uttar Pradesh or Delhi.

The film however was to be released on Friday, November 23 but that too was put on hold as the film's producers and its financier went to court to fight things out.

Unless new distributors come forward Abhay, might not see the light of the day.

Manoj Kumar begins Socho

Manoj Kumar has also begun work on his film called Socho. The cast has been decided and the film will go on the sets in January 2002.

Meanwhile producer-director Kewal Kashyap has cast Manoj Kumar's elder son Vishal Goswami in the role of Bhagat Singh in his film written by Manoj Kumar.

Old Skool will have an all-American cast

Dr D Rama Naidu will soon commence casting for his English film with an all-American cast. Scripted by an NRI called Kaveri Gautham, the film which deals with teenagers, titled Old Skool, is in need of a director.

Naidu, an MP from Andhra Pradesh, has won himself a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for having produced the maximum number of films - 110.

Anjan Choudhury's Juddho gets underway

A new Anjan Choudhury film, Juddho, is all set to rock the Bengal film industry.

With a powerful starcast which includes Tapas Paul and Rituparna Sengupta in the lead role, the film revolves around the problems faced by the rural folk of West Bengal.
