Censors clear Paanch

Anurag Kashyap's directorial debut film Paanch will finally see the light of day.

Paanch is based on the Abyankar murder case which rocked Pune in the early 80s where a man was kidnapped and murdered by a group of young men in to make a fast buck.

Anurag Kashyap had previously written the story of hard-hitting films like Satya and Shool.

Karan's decision comes as a surprise to the film community. We can only hope that this hiatus will be brief...very brief.
