Yaadein, Subhash Ghai's magnum opus, recently completed 100 days in the overseas market.

The film, which starred Hrithik Roshan, Karriena Kapoor and Jackie Shroff fared miserably at the Indian BO. But, Yaadein has gone on to become the highest grossing Hindi film of all time, in the international market, with collections touching $ 3 million.

Dilip Kumar, Rekha, Ghatak honoured

Thespian Dilip Kumar and Ritwik Ghatak will be honoured at the fourth Bombay International Film Festival beginning from November 21.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Sushma Swaraj will formally inaugurate the festival on November 21. The valedictory ceremony on November 28 will include 'acknowledging the achievements' of noted actress Rekha and cinematographer V K Murthy.

Neena Gupta for Kamjor Kadi Kaun

The Star Television Network has roped in actress Neena Gupta to anchor its latest game show Kamjor Kadi Kaun. KKK, based on the popular BBC show The Weakest Link will hit the screens in January, with the prize winnings in the range of Rs 2.5 -- Rs 5 million. It was believed that Rekha was to host the show but those rumours have now been put to rest.

A senior Star executive said that the channel has rights for 65 episodes and shooting would begin early on December. The channel has not yet decided whether the new show would replace the Amitabh Bachchan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Awards for Javed Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar

Noted film scriptwriter, lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar was conferred the Awadh Ratna award for excelling in the field of culture at a glittering function in Lucknow.

Farhan Akhtar, Javed's son and director of the Aamir Khan starrer Dil Chahta Hai, was awarded the Awadh Shiromani honour as well.

The Awadh Ratna award, instituted by an NGO, carries a cash prize of one lakh rupees, a memento and a shawl. Javed's wife Shabana Azmi, an actress in her own right was also present at the felicitation.
