Lagaan star Gracy hospitalised

Gracy Singh Lagaan's leading lady Gracy Singh has been hospitalized.

The doctors say it was due to low blood pressure and weakness.

Her friends however opine that the pressures associated with the release of Lagaan have been the cause of her ill health.

Gracy, has been travelling, to promote the film, from Delhi to Bhuj to Bombay and finally to South Africa. We would be exhausted too!

Shah Rukh to direct son Aryan

Shah Rukh Khan June 26 marks the tenth anniversary of Shah Rukh Khan into Hindi cinema.

Khan's next project after completing the last minute redos for Karan Johar's Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gum, will be to direct his son Aryan. The six-year old lad will star in an hour long action flick losely based on Batman.

Tusshar, Hrithik and all ye starkids be warned... there's a new star kid in tinsel town.

Rani and Anil?

Rani Rani Mukherjee was seen lunching with Anil Kapoor's kids, Sonam, Riya and Harsh in Bombay.

Given that it Rani isn't a close family friend, one can't help but wonder, if all the rumours of the alleged romance betwwen the two were right on!

Bariwali prompts Anupam Kher to make more regional films

Anupam Kher Anupam Kher, versatile actor turned producer turned television program host, egged on by the success of his Bariwali, directed by Rituparno Ghosh, has promised to make at least one regional film a year.

Even though, financing the film proved to be a very tough task, and it was almost aborted even before shooting began.

Kher said that he even had to sell his five day old Tata Safari in 1999 to start shooting.

Bariwali was completed in 45 days at a total cost of Rs 5 million, inclusive of post-production charges.

Of Sushma Swaraj and foreign funds

Sushma Swaraj A delegation from the Hindi film industry, along with representatives of the television and music industry, led by Sushma Swaraj has journeyed to America to garner foreign funds.

Bombay's movie industry alone makes around 800 films each year, compared to America's 100, making it the most prolific film-producing country in the world.
