No more period films for Nitin Keni

Gadar After Gadar - Ek Prem Katha the blockbuster period film, producer Nitin Keni has now opted for two new contemporary themes for his upcoming films.

He said he had approached Aamir Khan with the synopsis and plans to cast Amrish Puri in a father's role.

Keni was one among the five core members who established Zee TV, India's largest listed private television company, nearly a decade ago.

AB plays 'bad guy' again

Amitabh Bachchan Amitabh Bachchan is playing the "baddie" with great enthusiasm.

After his role in Aks which had shades of evil his next film All the Best will give him a chance to play a negative role too.

Debutante director Vipul Shah is directing the film. The story is based on the hit Gujarati play, Aan Bha Lo Pato, which was a fantasy thriller.

All the Best boasts of a big cast -- Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Sushmita Sen and Bipasha Basu in lead roles.

To complete the film on schedule, with such a huge star cast, producer Gaurang Doshi has put up three sets where shooting takes place simultaneously.

Dancers turn directors

Farah Khan Following in the footsteps of Farah Khan and Saroj Khan to more choreographers -- Raju Khan and Ahmed Khan will launch their own films as directors.

While Raju and Ahmed's projects are still in their infancy, the first films of Saroj and Farah have already been finalized.

Farah, the successful young choreographer of today, has been toying with the idea of directing her own film for a while. But despite finalizing a star cast and a subject for her first film, she could not commence shooting because of her prior assignments as a choreographer

100 and counting

Manoj Rejoice, all you Hrithik Roshan fans! The total tally of awards received so far by your favourite star and his family has crossed 100, with the recent felicitation of the superstar in Kolkata by the West Bengal Journalists' Association.
