Mani Ratnam suffers heart attack

Mani Rathnam is shooting his next film in Sri Lanka. We know Mani's penchant for taking risks, as he did with Dil Se, and it showed in the product as well as the box-office collections. But the risk with this film is that Mani is shooting in the strife-torn island but, he is going safe on the language. The film is in Tamil and titled Kannathil Muthamittal (If I kiss on the cheek) and stars a 50-ft Buddha. Madhavan is the likely choice of hero, but Rathnam is not revealing much right now.

Esha Deol to dance with mother Hema Malini in the UK

Hema Malini Actress Hema Malini is to perform in an Indian ballet in the UK with her two daughters Esha and Ahana Deol.

The Arts and Music Academy will present Mahalakshmi on July 21 at the Wembley Conference Centre. Mahalakshmi is the story of Hindu Goddess Lakshmi with 14 scenes depicting mythological events. The ballet will be narrated by Malini in Hindi and English.

Esha and Ahana are making their UK debut in the ballet, accompanied by 30 classical dancers and musicians.

Malini has performed her ballet in numerous countries to great acclaim, including New York, Seattle, Portugal, Bahrain, Dubai and Jakarta.

Rajesh and Dimple -- Together again

Dimple Yesteryear superstar, Rajesh Khanna, and estranged wife Dimple will be getting back together for a theatrical drama.

At the shooting Kya Dil Ne Kaha in Hyderabad, Khanna said that the play would be a remake of the superhit Gujarati play Adhura Madhura.

The play will be in English and will be called The Family Album.

The Sonali and Urmila showdown

Sonali Rival channels Sony Entertainment and Star Plus will be locked in battle on July 27. Sony has invited Urmila Matondkar as a celebrity guest on the Govinda-hosted Jeeto Chhapar Phad Ke that will clash with the first episode of Kya Masti Kya Dhoom hosted by actress Sonali Bendre on Star Plus.

Pearl Harbor to launch aboard the INS Vikrant

Pearl Harbor Columbia Tristar is planning to tie up with the Indian Navy for the release of their movie Pearl Harbor in India.

The film recreates the infamous bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, an event which became the turning point of the second World War.

The film is scheduled to release in India on August 10, and talks are said to be on for a premiere party on the INS Vikrant.

Pearl Harbor released in the US on May 25, 2001 and its premiere was held aboard the USS John C Stennis.
