Manisha Koirala Manisha Koirala is excited about her dual role as producer and lead actress for the forthcoming Shyam Benegal film Ganga.

She regretted missing out to Karisma for Benegal's Zubeidaa and she's looking to make up for that by taking over the whole Ganga project, even distributing it!

Three hours and ten minutes of Aks

Aks Following in the footsteps of Lagaan and Gadar - Ek Prem Katha comes Aks which is also going to be another three hour plus film.

The final duration, after Censor Board clearance, stands at 3.10 hours but director Rakesh Mehra refuses to cut it short. He wants to keep the audiences glued to their seats whether they like it or not.

Sushmita -- Item Number One

Sushmita Sen Ex-Ms Universe Sushmita Sen has been roped in by Jeans director Shankar for a special appearance in his upcoming film.

Sen sizzled onscreen with her Shakalaka number in Shankar's earlier film.

Bhagat Singh film underway

Producer Iqbal Singh Dhillon, who had made Shaheed Udham Singh earlier, has started work on his next film Shaheed-E-Azam.

Based on the life of Bhagat Singh, it will star both Indian and Pakistani artistes and is to be scripted by Bhagat Singh's nephew, Professor Jagmohan Singh.

Kishen Babbar, Raj Babbar's brother will be the film's executive producer.

Incidentally, Raj Kumar Santoshi had also planned to make a film on the same subject with Ajay Devgan in the lead role.

Hrithik's bro-in-law wants to be a star too

Zayed Khan Zayed Khan, son of Sanjay Khan and Hrithik Roshan's brother-in -law is geared up about his film debut.

To be a Universal music release, the film will be a launch pad for several newcomers including Anita Pradhan, the female lead.
