Subhash Ghai turns dad
Subhash Ghai's wife, Rehana, gave birth to a bonny baby girl on December 24. In keeping with Ghai's obsession for the alphabet M, we hear that his daughter shall be named Maanvi. The naming ceremony is likely to take place on January 24, 2002. The showman is on cloud nine, "I am really happy. It's a different kind of a feeling," he said. It was Dr Indira Hinduja who gave the Ghais the hope that they would be able to conceive and that they were not too old to turn parents. Ghai has adopted his brother's daughter Meghna, who has been taking a lot of interest in Ghai's business.
Aamir -- The All Rounder
Aamir Khan always has something special up his sleeve. After leading his team to victory in the Britannia-Lagaan match held in Mumbai on December 25, 2001, the erstwhile actor has now taking to learning music for his next film. Aamir has reportedly approached leading singer Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan to train him. Ustad Khan has been credited for teaching the likes of Asha Bhosle, Hariharan, and Alisha Chinai.
Feroz wants to shoot in Afghanistan Actor-turned-producer Feroz Khan plans to shoot his new project, Janasheen in war-ravaged Afghanistan. The film stars his son Fardeen Khan and Celina Jaitley. Janasheen also has Feroz essay the role of an Afghan business tycoon, a hardhearted man, who loses his family to the war. Fardeen plays his son in the film.
Suniel Shetty turns producer
Actor Suniel Shetty is turning producer with a flick to be directed by Munna Khan. We hear that the film will star Suniel, Amrita Arora, Celina Jaitley, Ajay Jadeja and Vinod Kambli.
