Aamir's Lagaan team is ready for action

Aamir Khan and his Ten Samurai are all geared up for battle. The Lagaan team is all ready to take on the 15 winners of the Britannia-Lagaan cricket match.

The match is to be played in Tuesday, December 25, 2001 in Mumbai. The 15 winners who have been selected will be given all expenses paid one day return trip to Mumbai for the match.

Retrospective of Nasseruddin's films in Delhi

From playing a visually impaired teacher in Sparsh to the corrupt landlord in Mirch Masala and an upright policeman in Jalwa, Naseeruddin Shah has proved his versatility time and again in a career spanning over 20 years.

A week long retrospective of some of Shah's films is being held in Delhi and for him, his journey as an actor has been a memorable one.

A graduate of the National School of Drama, Naseer never lost touch with his theatre roots during his film career and now he runs his own theatre production company. Naseer was last seen as the father of the bride in Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding and he is currently busy writing the screenplay for a film he hopes to direct.

Amar signs Partho Ghosh film

Amar Upadhyay is on the roll. The former television soap opera star has just signed on a film to be directed by Partho Ghosh.

The film entitled Hum Aapke Deewane Hain will star newcomer Vidya Malawade in the female lead and will be produced by Karuna Samtani. Rani Mukherjee will also make a guest appearance in the film.
