La Dixit to play matchmaker, now?

For the last one year, every television channel has been wooing Madhuri Dixit.

All the leading channels have called up Madhuri's secretary Rikku to get 'madam' to sign on the dotted line. Zee Television even had several meetings with the dhak dhak girl because they wanted her to take over their flop show, Sawaal Dus Crore.

But to no avail.

So when Sony Television offered her a show with a difference, Madhuri loved the idea. And if sources close to the Dixit are to be believed, she's already working on her costumes for the show.

Titled Shubh Vivah, it will be a matrimonial show where couples get matchmade by the much-married Mrs Nene.

Matrimonials are a huge business in India. And with Madhuri around now, matches will be made on television!

Rikku, Madhuri's spokesperson-cum-secretary, when contacted, said, "Who told you?" After a deep pause, he conceded, mysteriously, "Nothing has been finalised. But yes, negotiations are on."

When contacted, Sony TV officials didn't deny the report, but refused to comment on the same.
