Kareena wants no condolences for Yaadein, Hrithik's family upset with Ghai
Unlike Ghai who still thinks that Yaadein is his crowning glory, Kareena atleast can accept her shortcomings. Hrithik Roshan's family is upset with Subhash Ghai for the debacle too. They feel that Ghai did not use Hrithik's full potential. They perhaps think that Farhan Akhtar's Dil Chahta Hai, which Hrithik refused to do, would have been better for his career.
Russel Crowe to turn director Best Actor Oscar winner -- Russell Crowe will make his debut as a director, screenwriter and producer with The Long Green Shore, a World War II drama. The Long Green Shore is based on an Australian battalion that arrives on the beaches of New Guinea with orders to beat back the retreating Japanese. Crowe becomes the third leading man to shift behind the camera lens, with Denzel Washington about to start production on the Fox Searchlight drama Finding Fish and George Clooney's Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind at Miramax. Crowe, who's touring the U S as the front man for the band 'Thirty Odd Foot of Grunts' will shut himself away to work on the script once he's done with performances. Jay and Juhi celebrate Jay and Juhi Mehta are so delighted with their daughter Jahnavi, who turns a whole six-months, that they sent us a card and a box of sweets to celebrate the occasion. Designed by Vyas Gianetti Creative, the baby pink and mauve cards, with the little angel's footprints are very impressive.
No place for Hollywood
Hindi films get preference over dubbed Hollywood films, so the only way distributors can cope with this situation is by spacing out releases. But, they can't delay the release of films for too long because pirated VCDs, and even DVDs, of the latest Hollywood hits are easily available.
