'Ad'man, Ghai! Audiences unhappy with Yaadein...

Jackie Shroff in Yaadein Film audiences are cheesed off with the blatant in-film advertisments in Subhash Ghai's Yaadein, especially the repulsive close-up of a keychain bearing the logo of a cola drink during Rati Agnihotri' s death scene as she hands over the keys to hubby Jackie Shroff.

Jackie even wears an AXN T-shirt in a film-still of the film.

Moreover, Hrithik and Kareena have refused to accompany Subhash Ghai for promotions. The reason being cited is that they weren't happy with the outcome and were too embarrassed to promote it.

Zee's next film stars Jimmy Shergill and Hrishitaa

Jimmy Shergill Zee Telefilms and its joint venture partner, Karma Network Ltd, on Wednesday, August 1, announced the launch of their first Hindi film to be released next year.

Haasil is the story of a young boy's lonely crusade to achieve his dreams and beliefs and the conflicts he encounters to win his love.

The Rs 50-million film starring Jimmy Shergill and Hrishita Bhatt has been shot in Bombay and Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh.

Karma and Zee Telefilms plan to make 12 films over the next three years.

Stars in the eye of a storm

Shivalay Productions, makers of Raghuvanshi, starring Puru Raaj Kumar and Manisha Koirala, have complained to AMPTPP, the producers' association, against Manisha Koirala for not living up to her dates.

Nitin Raj Arayadath, producer of Rahen Na Rahen Hum staring Ajay Devgan, Amisha Patel and Mahima in lead roles, has also complained against Mahima for cancelling dates and opting for stage shows.

Model John Abraham also was in the eye of a storm, when PLA Productions wrote to the association alleging that the actor was not honoring his dates.

Hema Malini steps behind the camera

After Dil Ashna Hai, which starred the late Divya Bharati and Shah Rukh Khan, actress Hema Malini is ready to wield the directorial baton yet again. She has a ready script but the cast and crew haven't been finalised yet.

Let's hope she can work her charm better at the box office with this one!
