Malayalam actor no moreMalayalam film director and actor Jesey Kuttikkad died in Trivandrum early Tuesday morning following a heart attack. He was 62. Jesey is survived by his wife and a daughter. The funeral took place at the Chathyath Church cemetery Tuesday evening. Jesey began his career as a stage actor with professional troupes such as the Kalidasa Kalakendram, Stage India and Kalanilayam. He entered the film world by writing the script for Bhoomiyile Maalagha in 1965. Sapamoksham, released in 1974, was the first film he directed. Apart from acting in several movies he directed 35 films, the last being Oru Sankeerthanampole. Jesey also directed two TV serials. One of them, Mohapakshi, earned him the best serial director award.
