Tabu is returning to her roots.

Literally. Investing there, too.

Wipe the frown off your face! We are talking about the property that the actress has been buying in Hyderabad.

Sources close to the actress insist that Tabu's new investment plans are part of her larger plans. Either to build some kind of an institute or a recreation place.

The very same sources insists that Tabu might just finally end up doing something in technology.

Not surprising that. Considering she is one of the most computer-savvy actresses today.

Why, most of her spare time is spent in front of the monitor chatting away with her cyberpals and cousins across the continents!

Govinda is paranoid!

Do not be surprised if you find Govinda refusing food anywhere without even tasting it.

He does not mean to be rude. It is just that the star is so paranoid that someone is out to poison him. Or that those who wish him ill will give him food that is contaminated or on which some spell has been cast (he believes in voodoo and black magic, too!).

Result? Wherever Govinda goes, his loyal man Friday goes.

All this man Friday does is caryy his saab's dabba from home and feed him. So it is only ghar ka khana for apna Govinda.

Meanwhile, Govinda is getting ready to host yet another game show on television. This one on Sony.

Though he has been giving grief to the top bosses of the channel. He turned up late for the formal appointment -- he was late by over four hours!). What's more, he kept fibbing that he would be there any minute.

But then, the Sony bigwigs had to swallow the unprofessional behaviour. What with the dearth of stars willing to take on the challenge posed by the Big B (even Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, who were offered a bomb to host the quiz show together backed off at the preliminary meet).

And, oh, the show will be called Chappar Fadke on a set which will resemble a railway station.

Manisha to launch brother

Manisha Koirala is seriously considering turning producer.

Where else do you think will she invest all the crores that she is earning for posing those dus crore ka sawaals?

Close associates admit that Manisha is doing so not to be able to make heroine-oriented films for herself. But only so that she can relaunch her brother Siddharth, who still cherishes dreams of becoming a Hindi film hero!

Manisha had earlier tried launching her brother in a film that did not proceed beyond a few reels (it had Mayuri Kango playing the female lead opposite her brother).

But this time the Nepali actress is dead serious and is said to be already sitting with the writers, listening to subjects suitable for her brother and which give him an opportunity to display his histrionics.

History repeats itself!

Remember when Hema Malini and Jeetendra almost walked up the altar while they were shooting for the South film Dulhan?

Much water has flown under the bridge since and many seasons changed.

Now, with the artistes' offsprings ready to take a bow on silver screen, the two seniors might just come together in a film produced by Padmalaya Studios.

Hema Malini plays daughter Esha Deol's mother and Jeetendra plays screen father to son Tusshar.

Though the two seniors have not given the final nod, the young couple have been signed up by Padmalaya Studios.

Sanju ko gussa kyoon aata hai?

All is not hunky dory between director Mahesh Manjrekar and his blue-eyed boy, Sanjay Dutt.

This was obvious from the fact that Sanjay Dutt stayed away from the music release of Kurukshetra, the film which has the team fresh from the success of Vaastav back together.

Sources say that Sanjay Dutt is unhappy with the way his role has shaped up.

Other buddies of Sanjay insist the reason is something altogether. It seems Mahesh Manjrekar has been planning a film with Anil Kapoor and has had several meetings with the actor, too.

And nothing else peeves Sanjay Dutt more than Anil Kapoor and losing out one of his favourite directors to the rival camp.

And to think that Anil Kapoor had refused to even meet Mahesh Manjrekar before the release of Vaastav, while it was Sanjay Dutt who not just gave him a patient hearing but also acted in Vaastav!

True. Sanju. But you might want to consider that directors have to grow wings and feel stagnated in one particular camp!
