Raj mum on Sharad Pawar

April 27, 2009
Interestingly, he does not say a word against Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party even as he takes potshots at the Congress leadership for allowing migrants to come to Mumbai.

This soft approach towards the NCP has led to much speculation. "Who knows how the equations in the state will work out post-elections?" wonders an MNS official, speaking understandably on condition that he would not be identified by name for this report. However, he rules out any alliance before the next assembly election, likely this October.

"The Lok Sabha election," he adds, "is just a dry run to check our organisational and political strength. The real fight will be during the assembly election when we will make our presence felt in state politics."
