The pioneer of low-cost air travel in India is fighting the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls as an independent candidate from the prestigious Bangalore South constituency.
Captain Gopi, as he is fondly called, is pitched against political heavyweights like Ananth Kumar of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Krishna Byre Gowda of the Congress.
