Cong registers early gains in Haryana

The Congress registered early gains in the 90-member Haryana Assembly, leading in 49 seats at 9 am on Sunday.

It left the ruling Indian National Lok Dal far behind, with 10.

Rori: State Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala was leading.

Narwana: Chautala was trailing in Narwana, where Congress state President Pradip Singh Surjewala was ahead.

Adampur: Congress leader Bhajan Lal was leading over his nearest rival Rajesh Godhara of the INLD by around 500 votes.

Ambala city: Former Union minister Vinod Sharma (Congress) was leading over his nearest rival Surjit Singh Sondha (INLD) by 3,287 votes.

Ambala Cantonment: D K Bansal (Congress) was leading over his nearest rival, sitting legislator Anil Vij (Independent) by around 943 votes.

Bhattu Kalan: Kulbir Singh Beniwal (Congress) was leading over his nearest rival Sampat Singh (INLD) by around 100 votes.

Ratia: Gurdip Singh Gill ((Congress) leading over his nearest rival Giana Chand Odh (INLD) by around 175 votes in Ratia.

Meham: Rajbir Singh Samain (INLD) was leading over his nearest rival Anand Singh Dangi (Congress).

Thanesar: Transport Minister Ashok Arora (INLD) was leading over his nearest rival Ramesh K Gupta (Congress).

Fatehabad: Congress candidate Dula Ram was leading over his nearest rival Swatantar Bala (INLD) by 100 votes.

Jagadhari: Bishan Lal Saini (INLD) was leading over his nearest rival Subash Chaudhary (Congress) by around 500 votes.

Sadhaura: Balwant Singh (INLD) was leading over his nearest rival Ramji Lal (Congress) by around 1,000 votes.

Mullana SC: Phool Chand (Congress) was leading over his nearest rival Social Welfare Minister Risal Singh (INLD) by 1,805 votes.
