Meanwhile... It was never going to be easy for Mehbooba but at least she needn't have called an AK-47 a spade. Eleven people were killed and 70 injured when militants attacked her political rally at Uri, but she had another point of view. 'There are no separatist militants in Uri,' Mehbooba declared within minutes of the attack. 'This is the handiwork of those who are against the opening of the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service.' There was no more shooting that day, but at least one person seems to have been aiming at her foot.
