Manipur: SPF ministry sworn in

Election 2002

Okram Ibobi Singh, who heads the Congress-led Secular Progressive Front, was on Thursday sworn in as the 25th chief minister of Manipur.

Along with him, three others - Govindas Konthoujam of the Manipur State Congress Party, Parijat Singh of the Communist Party of India and Chungkhokai Doungel of the Nationalist Congress Party were also sworn in as Cabinet ministers.

Governor Ved Prakash Marwah administered the oath of office and secrecy to Ibobi Singh and other ministers at a simple ceremony.
