Front formed to install new Manipur ministry

Election 2002 The Congress, Communist Party of India, Manipur State Congress Party and the Nationalist Congress Party have decided to jointly form a new ministry in the state, CPI state secretary Ph Parijat Singh said on Tuesday.

The four parties have formed a combine -- the Secular Progressive Front -- to form the new ministry, he said

The Congress, which emerged as the single largest party after the assembly elections, will lead the front, he added.
