Uttaranchal Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshiyari on Sunday submitted his resignation to Governor Surjit Singh Barnala after the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party lost the maiden assembly elections in Uttaranchal.
Barnala accepted the resignation of Koshiyari but asked him to continue in office till alternative arrangements were made, official sources said.
