The police today said two ultras of the Jagtiyal Dalam whisked away V Bhumayya, a local TDP leader, accompanying party candidate Ambala Bhagyavathi, contesting from Buggaram assembly constituency, after an election meeting there, and shot him dead from point-blank range. Before fleeing, the Naxalites also deflated the tyres of the jeep of Bhagyavathi and threatened her not to campaign in the village.
