It was a heart-breaking end to a memorable run and a chance for Team India to stamp their authority on the game once again.
But that was not to be as Australia stormed its way into the final of the World Cup after beating India decisively by 95 runs and 19 balls to spare (scorecard).
Cricket enthusiast Laxmi Negi/Rediff.com, who had turned Australia supporter for this match, was thrilled while Manu Shankar/Rediff.com, a die-hard India supporter, tried to defend the Men in Blue.
Abhishek Mande/Rediff.com, meanwhile, just enjoyed the banter :)
