Swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag smashed a world record 219 and became only the second batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to reach the 200-run landmark in One-Day Internationals, as India posted their highest one-day total of 418 for five in the fourth match against the West Indies in Indore, on Thursday.

- I got a 300 with my flawed technique: Sehwag

Sehwag surpassed Tendulkar's 200 not out, made from 147 balls against South Africa in Gwalior on February 24 last year, when he square-cut Andre Russell for a boundary in the 44th over of the Indian innings to go past the 200 mark at the Holkar Stadium.

- Congratulate Virender Sehwag on his ODI double

He joined his idol Tendulkar in the record books as the only other cricketer to score double hundred in the limited overs game. India went on to win the match by 153 runs.

A look at what his fellow team-mates and other celebrities had to say on Twitter on his landmark innings:

It must be some where at the back of his mind..but sehwag's 200s and 300s seem incidental as he goes on an all out attack

The most likely candidate to beat tendulkar's record has done it !

i wonder sometimes if sehwag achieves these landmarks because he doesn't worry about achieving them

among contemporary cricketers sehwag was one of very few who could have done it...gayle maybe...who else?

Must admit if I had to pick one person to get more than 200 in an ODI innings it would have been Viru! Congrats!
