India's legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who is retiring next month, is the country's wealthiest cricketer, with a personal fortune of US $160 million, according to a Wealth- X estimate.

Affectionately known by his legion of fans as 'Little Master', Tendulkar has amassed a fortune that eclipses the combined net worth of the other cricketers on the top-five in the list, and is more than three times the net worth of the second wealthiest player, Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

The 40-year-old former India captain, who stepped down from One-Day Internationals in December, 2012, will end his career with his final and 200th Test against the West Indies in Mumbai, next month.

Tendulkar played his final Twenty20 match in the Champions League T20 final between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals, which was led by another former India skipper, Rahul Dravid, who made his last competitive appearance on the cricket field during that match.

Dravid, 40, is estimated to be worth US $20 million.

Tendulkar is one of the most popular cricketers across the world, and in 1992 became the first overseas player to sign for Yorkshire, scoring more than 1,000 runs in the summer for the English county side.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is regarded as one of India's most successful captains, having won both the T20 and 50-overs' World Cup in 2007 and 2011 respectively, while also taking the Test team to the No 1 ranking.

Dhoni, who commands a long list of endorsements, has a personal fortune of $50 million.

Yuvraj Singh recently made a comeback to India's ODI and T20 team, but regaining a place in the Test team looks highly unlikely.

But it has not affected the earning capacity of the left-hander, whose net worth is around $30 million.

Former captain Rahul Dravid retired from international cricket last year but it has not stopped him from raking in the moolah.

Dravid earned a lot of praise for his stellar leadership of Rajasthan Royals in this year's IPL and Champions League T20 despite the franchise being enveloped in a few controversies.

He has retired from all forms of the game, but has a personal fortune of $20 million.

Virat Kohli is one of India's key players over the last few years. His sensational rise in international cricket has also seen him earn a lot more.

At 24, he has already amassed a net worth of $15 million and looks set to multiply that amount a few times in the years to come.
