The Mumbai Cricket Association paid tribute to batting icon Sachin Tendulkar on Monday by renaming its sports complex at Kandivali, in North Mumbai, as 'Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana'.

The master batsman thanked the MCA for its continuous support over the years and making practice facilities available to him since the time he started playing for Mumbai at the Under-15 level.

A grand farewell 'Salaam Sachin' was organised by the India Today Group in honour of the iconic batsman.

The conclave, which featured leading sportspersons, cricket greats, Bollywood actors and corporate top bosses, was one of the biggest farewell tributes to the master batsman.
