Sunrisers lost the plot after Mishra's 16th over

Amit Mishra's final over, the 16th of the Royal Challengers' innings, in which Virat Kohli clobbered 21 runs turned the tide in Tuesday's IPL match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Chinnasawmy stadium in Bangalore.

Following that was a 17 runs over from Thisara Perera, which virtually killed the contest.

Till then Sunrisers were in the hunt as they picked wickets at regular. They had Chris Gayle (13) walking back, after he edged one to Parthiv Patel off Ishant Sharma.

Cameron White got the lucky wicket, that of AB de Villiers, after the latter hit a half-tracker straight to the midfield fielder.

Kohli, who walked in at the fall of Mayank Agarwal, who had given RCB a brisk start, kept his cool, stitching a partnership first with De Villiers – 49 runs -- and then blasted his way through to an unbeaten 66-run stand with Moises Henriques, in which  the contribution of the latter was just seven.

Kohli's 47-ball knock included 11 boundaries and four massive sixes.
