The Indian Premier League has once again caught the nation's attention after some splendid performances since the sixth edition of the tournament kicked off on April 3.

Again, Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Chris Gayle has lived up to his top billing. He continues to dominate the bowlers and leads the chart for most sixes, while Delhi Daredevils youngster Unmukt Chand has the unfortunate record of most ducks.

Pune Warriors India pacer Ashok Dinda has the worst bowling record in the tournament so far, while Praveen Kumar has the most economical bowling figures

Check out some records in IPL 6 so far:

Most sixes in the IPL

It comes as no surprise that Chris Gayle leads the way when it comes to hitting sixes. The Royal Challengers Bangalore opener has already blasted 14 sixes in five matches, in his tally of 195 runs, with an amazing strike rate of 144.44.

The next best is 10 sixes jointly by Mumbai Indians batsman Rohit Sharma and Bangalore captain Virat Kohli.

Delhi Daredevils opener Unmukt Chand was expected to be one of the young stars of IPL 6, but hasn't delivered.

He was dismissed off the first ball he faced in the IPL, bowled by an express delivery from Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler Brett Lee.

Then, against Mumbai Indians he was unlucky to fall for a second duck in the tournament when Ricky Ponting came up with an unbelievable one-handed diving catch in the covers off Harbhajan Singh.

In T20 cricket the best bowlers are not the ones who take wickets but those who can also keep the runs down.

Kings XI Punjab pace bowler Praveen Kumar bowled a dream spell of two wickets for 10 runs in four overs, including a maiden against Rajasthan Royals, but despite that his team was beaten by six wickets.

It was a day Pune Warriors' pace bowler Ashok Dinda would like to forget in a hurry.

The Mumbai Indians batsmen carted the pace bowler to all parts of the Wankhede stadium and consigned him to the worst figures in the IPL as he conceded 63 runs in his four overs.

Sachin Tendulkar targetted Dinda right from the start, hitting him for four consecutive boundaries in his first over before Rohit Sharma smashed him for four sixes in his last two overs.
