The most paisa vasool Indian players in IPL-5 in the list of the 50 most valuable players are: Mandeep Singh (PVI of 51; received $51 for every run scored), Ajinkya Rahane (75), Mayank Agarwal (80), Parvinder Awana (144), Ambati Rayadu (198) and Rajat Bhatia (216).

Note that all of them are the 'untouchables' who could not figure in the auction because they didn't have an India cap.

The most paisa vasool foreign players in the top 50 are Faf du Plessis (302), Dwayne Bravo (341), Azhar Mehmood (391), Steve Smith (441), Owais Shah (534) and Chris Gayle (657).

Generally speaking, an auctioned player offers 'outstanding' value if his paisa vasool index (PVI) is below 500 (); 'excellent' value if the PVI lies between 500-1000 (), 'very good' value for a PVI between 1000-1500 () and 'good' value for a PVI between 1500-2000 ().
