I call Sehwag Viv of modern times: Yuvraj

Yuvraj Singh hailed team-mate Virender Sehwag as he gets set for his 100th Test match, against England in Mumbai, starting on Friday.

-'Virender Sehwag is a pure match-winner'

The left-hander calls Sehwag 'Viv Richards' of the modern era for his ability to destroy bowling attacks, a trait associated with the West Indian great.

"I call him Viv of modern times," Yuvraj told Rediff.com.

Yuvraj pointed out that Sehwag has scored everywhere he has played and rightly deserves to be called as one of the biggest match-winner the sport has seen.

"He is someone who has scored hundreds all over the world and one of the biggest match winners of all times!"

Yuvraj who himself made a comeback to the Indian Test team for the England series after making a successful recovery from cancer earlier in the year.

The all-rounder considers himself lucky to be a part of the dressing room and watch Sehwag play his 100th Test.

"It is a great achievement to play 100 Test matches. I am lucky to be watching him play his 100th game and it's been a honour playing with such a great and dangerous batsman of the game, who bowlers fear all the time!" he said.
