Watson becomes first all-rounder to achieve the 'double'

# Australia, with their nine wicket-win, have equalled their largest win in terms of wickets against India in T20Internationals. They had won by a similar margin at MCG onFebruary 1, 2008.

# The winning target was achieved by Australia with 14.5 overs -- the fewest overs in which a team has successfully chased a target of more than 140 in a T20 Internationals.

# Australia have now won four and lost three out of seven T20 Internationals contested against India -- winning percentage 57.14.

# India's huge loss with 31 balls remaining is their second worst in terms of balls to spare. Their previous worst defeat in terms of balls remaining was also against Australia, losing by nine wickets with 52 balls to spare at Melbourne on February 1, 2008.

# Shane Watson became the first all-rounder to post a half-century and take three wickets in the same match three times in T20 Internationals. He became the first all-rounder to achieve the 'double' of 50 runs plus 3 wickets twice in the ICC World Twenty20.

Shane Watson# Watson has been adjudged the Man of the Match for the seventh time in 33 T20 Internationals, equalling Shahid Afridi's record of seven awards in 53 matches.

# Watson and David Warner put on 133 -- Australia's highest for any wicket in Twenty20 Internationals, surpassing the 111 by the same pair against Pakistan at Dubai (DSC) on September 10, 2012.

# The above partnership is the joint fifth highest first wicket stand in T20 Internationals -- the highest is 170 between South African pair of Loots Bosman and Graeme Smith against England at Centurion on November 15, 2009.

# The aforesaid stand is the highest by any pair for the first wicket against India in T20 Internationals. The said partnership is the highest by any pair against India in the ICC World Twenty20.

# Watson-Warner opening pair became the first pair to amass 1,000 runs or more in T20 Internationals -- 1077 at an average of 38.46 in 28 innings, including three stands of 100 and six between 50 and less than 100.

# Warner (63 not out off 41 balls) has posted his eighth fifty in T20s -- his second against India. He has recorded three half-centuries in the ICC World Twenty20 -- two against India and one against the West Indies.

# Watson's second half-century (72 off 42 balls) against India is his ninth in T20 Internationals. The said knock is his highest while chasing.

# Watson is the third batsman to record nine fifties in T20 Internationals, joining Brendon McCullum and Chris Gayle.

# Watson, for the first time, has recorded seven sixes, equalling an Australian record in T20 Internationals, held by David Warner (twice).

# Watson has posted six fifties while chasing in T20 Internationals.

# Watson (3/34) has registered his best bowling figures against India in the ICC World Twenty20.
