Australian off spinner Nathan Lyon, who recently completed a year in international cricket, has said thrashing India 4-0 at home has been the highlight of his career so far.

Lyon is one of the 15 cricketers to take wicket on the first ball bowled of their Test careers, with Arthur Coningham being the only other Australian to achieve this feat, way back in 1894.

In his 13 Tests so far Lyon's record stands at 42 wickets at 27.83, but he is reluctant to name the success in his debut match against Sri Lanka as his highlight so far, as he points to Australia's whitewash against India.

"Yeah, that was pretty special. It's hard to narrow it down but to win that series 4-0 against one of the best sides in the world, that was pretty good," News.com.au quoted Lyon, as saying.

When asked if he think his place in the Australian Test was secured now, Lyon replied: "Nah, I've still got a lot of work to do to even get close to having my spot safe. There are still a lot of quality spinners around the country. I'm not even close to that happening."
