The constant media hype and anticipation around Sachin Tendulkar's impending 100th international century is not helping the champion batsman to get to the coveted landmark, feels West Indies coach Ottis Gibson.

"The more hype, more pressure will be on Sachin (to reach the landmark)," Gibson said on Friday ahead of the first Test against India at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground in Delhi, starting Sunday.

- 'I couldn't get Sachin Tendulkar out'

Unlike the English who had lived upto their word of not allowing Tendulkar to reach the milestone when they hosted India in a four-match Test series earlier this year, Gibson is sure the champion batsman would sooner than later score his 100th international ton.

Sachin Tendulkar"He is a quality player and he will get it at some point of time," he said.

Even as Tendulkar failed to reach the landmark in England, with his best being the 91 in the fourth Test at the Oval, all eyes are once again trained on the senior Indian batsman.

And West Indies pacer Ravi Rampaul said the visiting Caribbean side is aware of it.

"The spotlight will be on Sachin, we are aware of it, but we have to focus on our game," Rampaul said.
