In his bid to give something back to the society, India's Test captain Virat Kohli's Foundation has joined hands with ABIL Foundation to extend help to old age Home 'Abhalmaya', which is currently home to 57 senior citizens.

The star batsman met the residents along with Amit Bhosle of ABIL Foundation.

The Virat Kohli Foundation and ABIL Foundation have now joined hands to extend immediate help to Aabhalmaya to end its financial crunch.

Virat KohliSpeaking on the occasion, Kohli said, “People like Dr Aparna Deshmukh are doing remarkable work by running such a facility for all those elderly, who have been left (alone) by their dear ones. This is absolutely wrong and it is our duty to take care of the elderly members of our family.”

Kohli was in Pune to lead Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) against tournament debutant Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS).

Kohli and AB de Villiers smashed brisk half centuries to guide Royal Challengers Bangalore to a well-deserved 13-run victory over Rising Pune Supergiants.
