India's batting sensation Virat Kohli on Tuesday confessed he regrets crossing the line on a few occasions on the cricket field and hinted that, in hindsight, he probably might have not done it.

When asked about the three mistakes of his life which he would like to change, Kohli replied: "I haven't committed too many mistakes in my life. But I think in my younger days I was a bit too unfocused so I think I would like to change that and may be correct those things. Maybe in my school days I should have studied a bit more so that I would have had more career options if cricket didn't work. I never thought of it.”

"On the cricket field I have crossed the line a few times so I would like to correct those. But not really, actually you commit mistakes and learn from them so there is nothing major I want to change," added Kohli in Mumbai, when he was named as Swiss watch brand Tissot's first Indian male brand ambassador.

When quizzed if he would like to gift a Tissot watch to someone in Bollywood, the Indian Test captain got a bit miffed.

Recently, Kohli's break-up with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma had dominated the headlines and he was not willing to tread anywhere close to the topic.

"I would like to gift it to someone in my family first, it could be a cricket team member as well, I don't know why this question. Let's be professional and try to stick to what we are here for and not look to swing things in other directions," he said.

Kohli claimed that batting on flat wickets is a bit easier but the Indian team has looked to perform better in difficult conditions.

"I agree that batting on flat pitches is relatively easier than batting on difficult wickets. It is pretty logical there is no secret in it.

"We try and perform well on whatever pitches we get, even on difficult wickets we try to do well sometimes we succeed sometimes we don't but we always try to study the conditions we go and look to do well," he said.
