# Andy Blignaut was making his T20 debut. He became 25th player to represent Zimbabwe in this format of the game.

# Prosper Utseya registered his second consecutive golden duck. He was also dismissed off the first ball against West Indies at Port-of-Spain on February 28, 2010.

# Zimbabwe's total of 84 is their lowest in Twenty20 internationals, beating 105 against West Indies at Port-of-Spain on February 28, 2010.

# Scott Styris took 3 wickets conceding only 5 runs - a bowling average of just 1.66! Pakistan's Umar Gul has the best bowling figures in the T20 World Cup. He took 5 for 6 (avg 1.20) against New Zealand at the Oval on June 13, 2009.

# Zimbabwe's innings lasted for only 15.1 overs, which is the second shortest completed innings in all Twenty20 internationals. Australia were bowled out in 14.3 overs against England at Southampton on June 13, 2005, which remains the shortest ever all-out innings.

# After being 58 for one at one stage, Zimbabwe lost wickets in a heap and were eventually bowled out for 84 - a mere addition of 26 runs for the loss of 9 wickets! This is the worst 9-wicket collapse in the history of the game.

# Brendon McCullum - during his innings of 22 - completed 1,000 runs in Twenty20 internationals. He became first batsman to reach this milestone.

# McCullum also became the first batsman to hit 100 fours in this format of the game.

# New Zealand won the match by virtue of D/L method having made only 36 for one. This is the lowest winning score in the history of the game.

# Nathan McCullum won his second consecutive Man of the Match award.
