# Tharanga has got his sixth Man of the Match award in ODIs -- his third against Bangladesh.

# Tharanga and Jayawardene were involved in a stand of 215 for the first wicket, which is a record for the first wicket against Bangladesh in Bangladesh, obliterating the 143 between Herschelle Gibbs and Graeme Smith for South Africa at Chittagong on March 9, 2008.

# Jayawardene (108 off 117 balls) recorded his 12th century in ODIs -- his first against Bangladesh. He has posted nine hundreds on foreign soil and three in Sri Lanka.

# Jayawardene enjoys an excellent record -- all his twelve

hundreds have resulted in the victories.

# Both the openers scoring hundreds for Sri Lankan against Bangladesh in the same innings -- a feat happened for the second time - the first occasion was the 2008 Karachi ODI when Sanath Jayasuriya (130) and Sangakkara (121) had made hundreds.
