Following are the statistical highlights of the fifth India vs England ODI in Cuttack on Wednesday night.

# Virender Sehwag became the second batsman after Yuvraj Singh (325) to make 300 runs in the series - 314 at an average of 62.80.  He is the only batsman in the series to make four 50-plus scores.

# The 94-run stand between MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina is India's best partnership for the fourth wicket against England at Cuttack.

# Dhoni's 25th fifty is his third against England.

# As captain, Dhoni is maintaining an average of 50 - 1458 at an average of 52.07, including one century and 11 fifties in 41 matches.

# Sehwag's 33rd fifty in ODIs is his seventh against England.

# Sehwag's 17th MOM award is his fourth against England.

# For the first time in a bilateral series, India have won the first five games.

# England (270/4) registered their highest ever total at Cuttack, eclipsing the 250 for 7 against India on January 22, 2002.

# England's aforesaid total is the highest by any team against India at Cuttack, bettering the 269 by Zimbabwe on April 4,1998.

# Andrew Flintoff's second duck against India is his 8th in ODIs. He had first recorded a duck against India at Jaipur on October 15, 2006.

# Kevin Pietersen became the 10th Englishman to complete 3,000 runs in ODIs - 3047 at an average of 48.36, including 7 centuries and 20 fifties. Pietersen has joined Alec Stewart (4677), Marcus Trescothick (4335), Graham Gooch (4290),  Allan Lamb (4010), Graeme Hick (3846), Paul Collingwood (3773), Nick Knight (3637) and Andrew Flintoff (3391).

Pietersen's feat of completing 3,000 runs in 78 innings is the fifth fastest in ODIs. Vivian Richards (69), Gordon Greenidge (72), Gary Kirsten (72) and Graham Gooch (76) had recorded the distinction in less innings than Pietersen. Navjot Singh Sidhu, Brian Lara and Boeta Dippenaar had taken 79 innings each to reach 3,000 runs.

# Pietersen (111 not out) became the second English captain to post a hundred against India. Nasser Hussain had made 115 at Lord's on July 13, 2002.

# Pietersen is now the first English captain to register a hundred away from home.

# Pietersen and Owais Shah put on 112 (unbroken) for the fifth wicket, which is the highest for this wicket-position for England against India in India, eclipsing the 110 between David Gower and Mike Gatting at Jalandhar on December 20, 1981.

# Shah (66 not out off 57 balls) has recorded his third fifty of the series - his 9th in ODIs.

# Irfan Pathan, for the second time in an ODI against England, went wicketless. He had conceded 58 runs without taking any wicket off his 10 overs at The Oval on Sept.3, 2004.

# Sachin Tendulkar (50) has extended his record for most fifties in ODIs. He became the first batsman to register 90 fifties in ODIs.

# Tendulkar and Sehwag put on 136 runs - their best ever stand for the first wicket against England. Overall, this was their third century stand for the first wicket against England.
