Suryakumar Yadav's IPL Availability

The news comes amid IPL 2026, with Suryakumar currently part of the Mumbai Indians squad. He reportedly remained back from the team’s travel to Raipur earlier this week due to family commitments surrounding the birth.

Mumbai Indians are yet to confirm his availability for their upcoming clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 10, leaving uncertainty over his return.

Mumbai Indians Captaincy Dilemma

In MI’s previous match against Lucknow Super Giants, Suryakumar had led the side in the absence of regular captain Hardik Pandya, who missed the game due to a back spasm.

With Hardik still recovering and Suryakumar on paternity leave, Mumbai Indians may once again need a stand-in skipper for the high-stakes fixture against RCB.
