Former cricketer Maninder Singh attempts suicide

Former Indian cricketer Maninder Singh has been admitted to a hospital after he reportedly slashed his wrists.

Singh was admitted to Shanti Mukund Hospital in East Delhi. Hospital sources said he is in the emergency but refused to give details.

Singh was arrested on May 22 near his Preet Vihar residence here for alleged possession of around 1.5 grammes of cocaine.

He was released on bail on May 23.
