South African chinaman bowler Tabraiz Shamsi to replace injured Samuel Badree

Tabraiz ShamshiRoyal Challengers Bangalore have named South African chinaman bowler Tabraiz Shamsi as a replacement for injured West Indies leg-spinner Samuel Badree in the ongoing ninth edition of the Indian Premier League.

The 35-year-old Badree hasn't played a match since sustaining an injury during the West Indies' World T20 triumph over England.

Describing Shamsi as a "mysterious" spinner, Royal Challengers' bowling coach Allan Donald said the Proteas player would add variation and mystery to the franchise's attack.

"Meet our new mysterious spinner. I've seen him bowl for Titans. He is very successful with what he has done in the past couple of years. Look out for a lot of mystery balls in there," Donald was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

Shamsi bagged nine wickets in ten games he played for Titans in this year's Ram Slam T20, South Africa domestic T20 tournament.

He also tasted huge success in the Caribbean Premier League, bagging 11 wickets in the seven games he played for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in 2015.
