Delhi are in sight of a big victory in the Group 'A' Super League Ranji Trophy match.

Skipper Mithun Manhas scored a fine century and then his bowlers ripped through the Rajasthan batting line-up to leave them tottering at 188 for 7 at the end of the third day, in Delhi, on Tuesday.

Delhi had scored 119 in their first innings and then bundled out Rajasthan for paltry 85 runs.

In their second essay, Delhi piled 387 and the visitors again put up a disappointing batting display. Had opener Gagan Khoda (71) and R Bisht (50 not out) not offered stubborn resistance, the match would have ended today.

Chasing an improbable target of 422 for victory, Rajasthan were on brink of a humilating defeat when stumps were drawn as they still needed 234 runs with just three wickets in hand and a full day's play left.

Resuming at their overnight score of 317 for 4, Delhi added 70 runs to their total, losing six wickets. However Manhas, added 14 runs to his overnight score of 86 to complete his century before being bowled by Pankaj Singh.

Manhas's 100 included 12 hits to the fence and came in 249 minutes. Rajat Bhatia could only add 18 runs to his overnight score of 65 before being caught by Jhalani off Ghelot.

Pankaj Singh had his second successive haul of five wickets (5 for 110) and ended the match with a tally of ten wickets for 153.

Rajasthan started poorly losing opener Saxena without a run on the board, though there was a 69-run second-wicket partnership between Gagan Khoda and A Sharma. After that the visitors lost their way and six more wickets.

R Bisht was unbeaten on 50(8x4) at stumps.
