India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin shared a cup of coffee with Indian Naval sailors and officers after the team clinched a massive 245-run victory over England in the second Test at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Monday.
"On board the INS JALASHWA!! Had the cup of coffee i had promised," Ashwin tweeted with a picture on his Twitter handle.
Interacting with the naval officers, the ace spinner expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the brave soldiers of the Armed Forces who are guarding the Nation.
During the interaction, Ashwin presented an autographed cricket bat to the Eastern Naval Command and Rear Admiral Dasgupta, who presented the ENC Crest to the 30-year-old spinner.
Rear Admiral B. Dasgupta, YSM, VSM, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet hosted Ashwin on board the INS Jalashwa, one of the frontline warships of the navy.
Earlier, he had even shared a thoughtful video message on the social media as part of the Sandesh2Soldiers initiative.
