The England cricket team beat Australia by an innings and 78 runs to regain hold of the Ashes and, like always, their families were over the moon.

The big contingent of English WAGS present at the stadium was ecstatic at their partners’ achievement.

Among those present among the crowd was Joe Root’s mother. The England batsman was seen sharing a celebratory drink with his mum after the match.

On an afternoon that saw an overspill of positive emotion, there was also a hint of sadness. Michael Clarke’s wife Kyly was seen wiping away her tears after the Australian captain announced his impending retirement from Test cricket after the Ashes series.
