Australia humiliated England at Lord's and marked a decisive shift in the balance of power in the Ashes series.
Australia crush England by 405 runs at Lord's
Besides the Australian fans at Lord’s Cricket Ground, most of the players had support in the form of their families and spouses.
The high-heeled WAGs (wives and girlfriends) did not just act as ornamental decorative pieces but also eased the on-field pressures of their men.
Chastened after England's victory in the opening Test in Cardiff, their collective dander was very much up after the hosts were vanquished by 405 runs inside four days in London on Sunday.
The immaculately groomed Kyly Clarke, wife of captain Michael Clarke, looked ecstatic.
Australia's captain recently revealed that he and wife Kyly are expecting their first child.
“@KylyClarke and I are extremely ecstatic to announce we are expecting our first child, Can't wait to meet baby Clarke,” the batsman tweeted the news as a caption alongside a picture of them.

The team was certainly boosted by the support of their partners; yes, there were nine WAGs in attendance. Photograph: Ryan Pierse/Getty Images
